The philosophies and technologies of Nautilus were inherited by the B&W 800 Series, our top-of the range hi-fi speakers. Now they have been honed further for use in a full blown customised home theatre setting. The performance of a CT800 system will surpass any cinema or home theatre sound system you might have heard before. We have not compromised a single decibel on the sound quality or dynamics – the system is actually more powerful than most conventional competitors – and yet, once installed, the speakers can be virtually invisible.
CT800 Series utilises Rohacell® cone bass drivers, Kevlar® cone midrange, and Nautilus™ tweeters. The 3-way semi-active CT8 LR and CT8 CC utilise midrange and tweeter drive units, mounted in an angle-adjustable aluminium sphere, so they can be swivelled towards the listener.
Rather than using a standard single LFE-channel the no-compromise CT800 Series utilises full range front channels, which can each have their own dedicated CT8 SW subwoofer, to preserve directional information through the full audio spectrum.
