Although the CD-S2 is the entry level model in the segment of CD players by Vincent, the user will nevertheless get the same sonic virtues of the bigger players. 24bBit/96kHz are standard. The CD-S1.1 is the consequent sonic further development of the CD-S1. Made with hybrid technology it uses a 6N16 tube for signal processing which greatly contributes to the unmistakable sound if this CD player. The digital-to-analogue converter is a 24Bit/96kHz chip from Burr-Brown. A special Audio-Analogue circuitry (GIC Low Pass Filter) is taking care of the pure and brilliant tonal transition. Power supply with oversized toroidal core transformer, headphone jack. Outputs: digital for D/A decoder, RCA and XLR balanced.

Afgeleid van de bekende 99CD-P voldoet de 99CD-S aan de hoogste eisen voor muziekweergave. De 99CD-S past uitstekend in een 99-set, en is daarnaast ook zelfstandig inzetbaar - goed nieuws voor elke niet-99-bezitter! De 99CD-S maakt gebruik van de allerbeste 96kHz D/A omzetters en is zonder meer in staat om elke muziekliefhebber te bekoren die niet op zoek is naar de aanvullende mogelijkheden van een 99CD-P.
De QUAD 99CD-P bezit een prachtig loopwerk, uitgelezen DAC’s en uiterst slimme voorzieningen, die hem tot een heel bijzonder dier maken. Hij kan worden opgenomen in een QUAD 99 systeem, maar kan ook volkomen los opereren.
De 99CD-P maakt gebruik van een hoogwaardig loopwerk, dat speciaal voor veeleisende audio-toepassing is ontworpen en naast CD ook CD-R en CD-RW afspeelt, finalised of niet.
Als digitaal/analoog-omzetter past de 99CD-P de CS4396 chip met 192k overbemonstering van Crystal toe. Deze staat niet alleen voor de beste mogelijke omzetting, maar maakt (via de 6 digitale ingangen) ook nog ‘es processing mogelijk van 24bit/96kHz PCM-signalen.
Gebruik makend van die hoogwaardige D/A omzetting biedt de 99CD-P tevens 6 digitale ingangen (3 coax,3 optisch) en een digitale uitgang (optisch). Aangesloten op de 99CD-P maken een MD-speler of een DAT dan gebruik van de veel mooiere omzetters in de 99CD-P. Daarnaast is de 99CD-P uitgerust met een afstandbediende volumeregeling, die rechtstreekse aansluiting op een eindversterker mogelijk maakt.
Slim detail: de verlichting in de 99CD-P kan worden gedoofd. De zelfstandige 99CD-P met zijn volumeregeling, extra digitale ingangen, mooi loopwerk en elektronica is ontworpen door J. Ertner.
