Audiolab 8000X7

ProductDescription:

Citaat

When used as a whole-house power source, the MC58 can produce 8 x 30 watts of ultra-clean power into 8 ohms and up to 8 x 50 watts into 4 ohms - a sign of its superb power supply. It can be configured for 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8-channel output. Any bridged pair will deliver 100 watts/8 ohms and a five-channel configuration would have 100 watts/8 ohms across the front and 50 watts/4 ohms into each of the rear channels. As you can see, this is a very flexible amp that can be configured for use in a variety of situations.

A suite of power protection technologies called the McIntosh Power Assurance System creates a stable platform for McIntosh's trademark wide power bandwidth, vanishingly low distortion and wide, palpable dynamics. With remote power control, fanless convection cooling, and gold-plated high output connectors, this is whole house or home theater power-o-the-gods. It's not how much power an amp puts out that matters - it's what that power does once it reaches the speakers that's important. Find out why McIntosh power is like no other power you've ever heard.

This 8-Channel Power Amplifier is great for multizone and home theater systems. The eight channels are configurable to 7, 6, 5 or 4. Power output is 8 x 50 watts (4 ohms), 8 x 30 watts (8 Ohms). Any pair can be bridged for 1 x 100 watts (8 ohms). Exclusive McIntosh Power Assurance System: Power Guard, Sentry Monitor, Thermal Cutout and Turn-On Delay. Fanless Convection Cooling means quiet running.

McIntosh MC205

ProductDescription:

5-Channel Power Amplifier

  • 200 Watts x 5 Channels
  • Balanced XLR Inputs
  • 2-Zone Operation

(3 x 200 + 2 x 200)

With a total of 1000 watts of power, the MC205 delivers all the explosive dynamics that high-performance home theater systems require. What’s more, by incorporating McIntosh’s Dynamic Power Management (DPM) circuit topology, the MC205 delivers full power into a wide variety of loudspeaker types.

Unlike other high-current designs, The MC205 delivers the same 200 watts per channel into both 4-ohm and 8-ohm loudspeakers. The Dynamic Power Manager automatically controls and optimizes the power supply’s voltage and current balance delivering higher voltage that 8 ohm speakers require, and automatically adjusting for current-hungry 4 ohm speakers.

Versatility reigns with the MC205. Aside from a 5 channel home theater amplifier the MC205 can also be used as a two zone amplifier with three channels in one zone and the remaining two channels assigned to a second zone.

FIVE or THREE + 2-CHANNEL:
The MC205 may be used as a three channel amp to combine with other McIntosh stereo or mono block amps in a home theater while the remaining two channels are assigned to the B zone remote stereo area.

McIntosh MC207

ProductDescription:

7-Channel Power Amplifier

  1. 7 Channel x 200 Watts into 4 or 8 ohm loudspeakers
  2. Dual Zone Capability
  3. Incorporates the new McIntosh Dynamic Power Manager Circuit
  4. Includes the latest Motorola Power Transistor
  5. Signal to Noise Ratio: 89dB
  6. Rated Power Band: 20Hz to 20kHz
  7. Total Harmonic Distortion 0.005% maximum for 4 or 8 ohmm loads.

The MC207 is designed for use in a 7.1 home theater or in a 5.1 home theater with the remaining 2 channels available for a second stereo zone.

The MC207 is the first amplifier to employ the newly developed DYNAMIC POWER MANAGERTM (DPMTM) circuit design. This unique McIntosh circuit allows the MC207 to deliver a full 200 watts x 7 channels into either 4 or 8-ohm loudspeakers. On the rear panel of the MC207 is an impedance selector for 4 or 8-ohms. If the 8-ohm position is chosen and the speakers are 4-ohms, the MC207 will automatically switch over to the 4-ohm position if the amplifier is driven hard. This switch adjusts both the output transistor rail voltages as well as bias level to maintain ultra low distortion. DPMTM allows the MC207 to be optimized for whatever speakers are used.

The chassis is mirror polished Stainless Steel as used on the MC402 and other McIntosh amplifiers. The power transformer and filter capacitors are housed in traditional McIntosh drawn aluminum cans with a durable powder coat finish. The 5 heat sinks are fully exposed for maximum ventilation.

The MC207 has the traditional McIntosh 9" tall glass faceplate with three wattmeters for front channel power indication. The meters and front panel are illuminated with Fiber Optic Light Diffusers and Light Emitting Diodes (LED) for a beautiful, lifetime appearance. The meter illumination may be switched off using the front panel control.

Pair the MC207 with the MX135 A/V Control Center for maximum home theater and multi-zone applications. From any angle, the MC207 is the most attractive multi-channel McIntosh amp yet that will reward with years of ownership pride.

  • Adjustable Sensitivity on Unbalanced input to match any preamp
  • Gold plated unbalanced input jacks
  • Balanced inputs with XLR jacks

An object of desire cherished by music lovers around the world, the MC275 is hard to beat.

Our amplifiers have a lush sound that presents a powerful and detailed soundstage. Their legendary Unity Coupled Output Transformer uses two bifilar wound primaries - one for the plates, as is normal, and a second for the cathodes. Instead of drawing all the output power from the plates, as many other designs do, the Unity Coupled design draws from both the plates and the cathodes. This greatly reduces the output distortion - always a problem in tube designs. By mixing the secondary windings in amongst the primaries, coupling is improved -flattening the output frequency response and improving the power bandwidth.

The MC275 Vacuum Tube Amplifier was designed and engineered by McIntosh co-founder Sidney Corderman and the McIntosh Engineering Team. The MC275 uses balanced or single ended inputs and a compliment of (3) 12AX7A, (4) 12AT7 and either (4) KT-88s or 6550 tubes. Configured for 75 watt per channel stereo, the MC275 can power 4, 8, or 16-ohm loads. As a bridged mono amp it delivers 150 watts into 2, 4, or 8-ohm loads. THD is below 0.5% from 20 Hz to 20KHz at all times.

McIntosh MC2102

  • Patented Unity Coupled Output Transformer
  • Balanced and Unalanced Inputs (switchable)
  • Polished Stainless-Steel Chassis

When McIntosh created the MC2000 tube amplifier to commemorate their 50th Anniversary, even they were surprised by the firestorm of critical acclaim and demand which it engendered. Now they have designed another amplifier for what has become their 2000 Series of Limited Edition Components.

The MC2102 Vacuum Tube Amplifier shares key characteristics with the MC2000, including the fact that they were both designed and engineered by McIntosh co-founder Sidney Corderman. Rated at 100 watts x 2 or 200 watts x 1, the MC2102 uses eight tubes in each channel. Balanced Input and inversion is handled by a pair of 12AX7's. Twin 12AT7's provide voltage amplification and driver functions, feeding two pair of either KT-88s or 6550's. Configured for stereo, the MC2102 can power 2, 4, or 8-ohm loads. In parallel mono configuration it pushes 1,2,or 4-ohm loads and as a bridged mono device it drives 4, 8, or 16-ohm loads.

If you've been fortunate enough to spend time with a classic McIntosh amp, you know that in addition to having their own distinct look - the famous Blue Eyes power meters - they also have their own distinct sound. Mac amps have their own way of doing things, and the sound they create presents a powerful argument in favor of their approach. Their legendary Unity Coupled Output Transformer is a classic example of this. This output design uses two bifilar wound primaries - one for the plates, as is normal, and a second for the cathodes. Instead of drawing all the output power from the plates, as other tube design are wont to do, the Unity Coupled design draws from both the plates and the cathodes. This greatly reduces the output distortion - always a problem in tube designs. By mixing the secondary windings in amongst the primaries, coupling is improved -flattening the output frequency response and improving the power bandwidth.

Balanced inputs provide a low-noise input path and can be selected by a rear panel switch. Gold plated 5-way binding posts are available for 2, 4, and 8-ohm speakers on each channel, plus one extra common pair. With a signal-to-noise ratio of better than 100 dB, .8v input sensitivity, and wideband damping of greater than 18, the MC2101 is both the perfect introduction to the world of glorious tube sound and the perfect step-up for someone who already knows what the fuss is all about. If you think all amplifiers sound the same, you just haven't heard this one.

"Blue Eyes" Power Meters highlight the beautiful design that uses eight tubes per Channel: 12AX7 (2), 12AT7 (2), KT-88 (4) or 6550 (4). Patented Unity Coupled Output Transformer with bifilar-wound output transformers deliver ultra-low distortion output. Ceramic tube sockets have gold-plated contacts for longevity. Gold-plated 200A multi-way binding posts make connecting your speakers a breeze. Remote power control connection to McIntosh Control Centers and Preamplifiers allows easy system turn on and turn off. Black drawn-aluminum transformer enclosures and a polished stainless-steel chassis add to the timeless good looks. Of course, the backlit glass front panel has illuminated nomenclature.
