In particular the pre-amplifier section is of very high grade as it employs the devices OPA 2134 and OPA 2604 from Burr-Brown. 16 power transistors per channel are taking care of a stunning start-up. The power stage comes equipped with an oversized toroidal core transformer of 2 x 500 Watts plus an energy storage capacity of 40.000 µF per channel. Remote control unit supplied.

The 8000SE integrated amplifier retains nearly all the performance of the 8000S amplifier, and offers remarkable valuefor-money.

The same circuit topology is used, but with a simpler orientation. Motorised volume controls and remote controls are forsaken, as are the bi-wire terminals, yet in all other respects, the SE is every bit as competent as the famous 8000S.

In pure performance terms, the 8000SE stands ‘head and shoulders’ above the competition and offers the true enthusiast a real hi-fi alternative to the ‘feature-rich but lacklustre performance’ integrated amplifiers that are frequently suggested. De 8000S geintegreerde versterker is afgeleid van de beroemde 8000A. Met zo’n komaf mag u dus een veelzijdige en flexibele versterker verwachten.

De 8000S geintegreerde versterker is duidelijk geinspireerd door de 8000A en beschikt dan ook over dezelfde kenmerken - een daarvan is z’n grote flexibiliteit. Omdat hij op vijf verschillende wijzen kan functioneren is de 8000S niet alleen een veelzijdige manus-van-alles, maar ook een hoogfideel werkpaard.

Vanzelfsprekend biedt de 8000S een ruim vermogen van 60 Watt per kanaal, gevoegd bij een piekstroomwaarde van 25 Ampere – waarmee hij vrijwel alle luidsprekerbelastingen moeiteloos aankan.

Naast 6 lijnniveau ingangen is de 8000S ook voorzien van 3 tape loops, aan te sturen via de bijgeleverde systeem-afstandsbedining.

Verschillende activiteiten van de 8000S:

* zelfstandige voorversterker
